Notice of Election

The Board of Directors of the Bass Lake Conservancy District is inviting potential candidates for membership on the Board of Directors of the Conservancy District to file Nominating Petitions pursuant to I.C. 14-33-5-3. The directorship positions serving Directorship Areas 1, and At Large will be voted upon at the election of the Bass Lake Conservancy District.

The current directors serving Directorship Area 1 is Ms. Melissa Long and serving Area At Large is Mr. Russ Blais. The election for Area 1 will be to the end of the current term, and At Large for a full four-year term on the Governing Board.

Any candidate for these directorship positions must be a freeholder within the boundaries of the District areas for which candidacy is sought and must also qualify by knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to the development of the Conservancy District. The candidates may be a nominee of a corporate freeholder. Anyone interested in seeking these positions must file a Nominating Petition signed by at least five (5) freeholders from the respective District Area for which the nominee is seeking to be a candidate. To be valid, nominating petition must be submitted to the Conservancy District Office in writing before June 1, 2022. Nominations that are mailed are valid if delivered or postmarked before June 1, 2022, if the envelope has sufficient U.S. Postage and is addressed to the Conservancy District Office, namely: Bass Lake Conservancy District, 4450 East 450 South, Knox, Indiana 46534.
